Build a Cox Plate System and Win!

We're offering one week of free ratings for all meetings nationwide (valued at approximately $20) for the member who can come up with the best system specifically tailored to the 2014 Cox Plate.

How to Enter

Simply create a new system and begin by setting the Track to Moonee Valley, the Distance to 2040m and the Class to Group One. Your system must contain CPC in the title (short for Cox Plate Contest) so that we can easily identify the entrants. For example, you could name your system "Joe's CPC" or "My CPC Winner". You are welcome to enter an old system as long as it has been renamed for the contest.

How to Win

Well, most importantly, you have to pick the winner! In the highly likely event that more than one system manages to do that, the winner will be the system that needs the fewest selections in the race to get it right. Should that also result in a tie, we will look at the last three years of historical data to determine our winner.

From now on pick the International horses when deciding what horse will win the big races. Caulfield Cup went to Japan and Cox Plate went to UK. The prize money for these races is so big now better international horses are now coming.

Not only are there a better class of International horses arriving to compete on these shores. There is presently a lack of class among Australian stock. This years running of the Cox Plate I believe lacked depth and was the weakest field I can recall... However, having said that, it was bolstered by the appearance of quality Irish visitor "Adelaide" who arguably produced the best winning performance in the race's history, and helping put the Cox Plate on the World Racing map.

Maybe We Need To Define For Overseas Horses Were There Last Race Was Metro , Provisional Or Country For Last Starts. This Is Were All System Failed This Week End. As I Am Guessing Every System Selected Horses that Last Start Was METRO.

Personally i don't think that's necessary pie2251. I didn't use "Last Start- Location" criteria in my system, but I discovered that when i made one very minor adjustment to the criteria elsewhere, it came up with the winner. Therefore with the new system i have created for 2015, it will boast having all 10 Winners from just 25 Hits since database records began in 2005... Looking forward to next year!
